Diversity naturally comes with an increase in conflict. That is not a failure and not a sign that something has gone wrong: the more heterogeneous a group, the fewer expectations it shares tacitly, and the more difference has to be negotiated openly. Handled well, these conflicts move something. Handled badly, they simply repeat — exhausting both the people and the system.
This workshop starts with what a conflict actually is and what it is doing, and then turns to the part that decides how it goes: your own capacity to regulate yourself inside it. That capacity has two sides, and most of us are strong on one and avoid the other — holding a position versus letting one go. The real question is whether you can do either one without breaking the working relationship. We work with your own cases and with widening your range: more direct or more dialogical, more listening or more assertive, depending on what the situation calls for. There is no one-size-fits-all recipe, which is why the work is on your own capacity to read the situation and to bear the uncertainty that comes with it.
